Currently serving as Head for Americas, he is based in Silicon Valley, where he leads new business creation through collaboration with startups and venture capital firms. He joined Daiwa Institute of Research in 2007 and was responsible for developing digital transformation (DX) strategy at Daiwa Securities.
In 2013, he moved to MUFG Bank, where he led various DX initiatives and new business projects, including launching Japan’s first bank-led accelerator program, organizing hackathons, promoting BPR, advancing RegTech efforts, and partnering with global startups.
He was assigned to Silicon Valley in 2020, served as a visiting scholar at Stanford University until 2022, and has held his current position since then.
