Mika joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) in 2007. During her tenure, she was seconded to the Cabinet Secretariat and the OECD, where her responsibilities primarily included promoting digital government initiatives, as well as labor legislation and workstyle reform.
In 2019, Mika transitioned to freee K.K., where she has held multiple, concurrent roles, including Director of Government Affairs, Head of the Small Business Research Institute, and Product Manager for Account Aggregation Platform Development. Externally, she serves on the boards of the Japan Financial Services Intermediary Business Association and the Japan Association for Financial APIs. She also holds a special appointment as a Lecturer at Keio University SFC, where she lectures on Gender and the Socioeconomic Impacts.
