Alliance Hack: Designing Gender-Intelligent Fintechs
New York August 15, 2022 – The Financial Alliance for Women is now accepting applications for the 2022 Alliance Hack: Designing Gender-Intelligent Fintechs.
The Alliance Hack invites fintechs to develop solutions for women, who make up the world’s largest and fastest-growing market—one that has been largely overlooked by the incumbent and fintech sectors alike.
As Alliance research published in 2020 and 2021 has demonstrated, fintechs are well-positioned to tap into the vast, underserved women’s market. We launched our annual Hackathon in 2020 to help fintechs capitalize on this multi-trillion-dollar opportunity while supporting women, their families, and communities.
This year’s hackathon calls for innovative solutions to close gender gaps in financial services—like the fact that most women-owned businesses are under-leveraged and that most women consumers are under-invested in the markets.Participating teams will have the opportunity to draw on the deep expertise of Alliance members—a network of 85+ financial services providers, including commercial banks, payments, insurance companies and startup and established fintechs—to design transformative gender-intelligent solutions.
Excellent prizes for winners include a $25,000 USD cash prize, one year membership to APIX platform and one year’s membership to the Financial Alliance for Women.
The 2022 Alliance Hack is supported by the Singapore Fintech Festival and APIX. Partners include HSBC, Citi, International Finance corporation (IFC), Equinix and contributors from across the Financial Alliance for Women’s member network.
